Simple & Transparent

How Membership Works

Three simple steps to join and participate in the LifeRegistry framework.

1
Join the Registry

Pay a one‑time administrative Activation fee and set up your monthly Direct Debit.

2
Maintain Membership

Keep your monthly contributions active. Eligibility grows over time (24‑month moratorium).

3
Discretionary Contribution

Subject to eligibility and reserves, a discretionary contribution may be made in accordance with Registry Rules.

How It Works

The Pooled Framework Explained

How contributions work. Why discretion matters.

Pooled, Not Personal

Your monthly contributions don't sit in an individual account. They're pooled with other members to support the Registry and fund discretionary contributions where applicable.

No individual balances. No entitlement. Just a shared framework.

Discretion, Not Guarantees

We never promise a payout. Eligibility means you may receive a discretionary contribution of up to £6,000 — subject to Registry Rules and available reserves at the time.

This is intentional. It keeps the model sustainable and fair for all members.

Up to £3000 discretionary contribution

For eligible members after 37+ months, subject to available reserves.

Membership FAQs

Everything you need to know about LifeRegistry membership.

LifeRegistry membership is participation in a structured, rules-based framework. Members pay a joining fee and monthly contributions, which are pooled to support Registry operations and, where applicable, the discretionary contribution framework.

Membership requires a one-time administrative joining fee of £125 and an ongoing monthly contribution of £14.99, collected by Direct Debit. Eligible members can also access Digital Vault as part of their membership.

The £125 joining fee covers onboarding, verification, and Registry entry. It is earned for administrative services, is non-refundable, and is not added to the pooled funds. It does not create eligibility on its own.

Monthly contributions are pooled to support Registry operations and the discretionary contribution framework. They do not create individual balances, are not held in personal accounts, and do not belong to individual members.

No. LifeRegistry does not hold individual accounts or create personal balances. Once paid, contributions become part of the pooled framework. Members do not have ownership, withdrawal rights, or claims over pooled funds.

Months 0–24: no eligibility. Months 25–36: partial eligibility (up to £3,000). Month 37 onwards: full eligibility band (up to £6,000). Eligibility does not guarantee a contribution—all decisions remain discretionary.

No. LifeRegistry does not guarantee any payments. Any contribution is discretionary, subject to Registry Rules, and dependent on available reserves at the time. Membership represents participation, not entitlement.

Discretionary means any contribution is considered case-by-case, is not automatic, is not owed, and may be reduced or declined depending on eligibility, rules, and available reserves at the time.

Yes. Membership can be cancelled at any time in accordance with Registry Rules. Upon cancellation, monthly contributions stop, no refunds are issued, and previously made contributions remain in the pooled framework.

Members are responsible for understanding the Registry Rules, maintaining accurate information, and making informed decisions about participation. LifeRegistry does not assume responsibility for member misunderstanding.

Membership is suitable for individuals who understand pooled systems, accept discretion over guarantees, value structure and clarity, and are comfortable with published limits. It is not for those seeking guaranteed outcomes.

Yes. Registry Rules may be amended to protect sustainability, reflect operational realities, or improve clarity. Changes are communicated transparently, apply prospectively, and do not create retrospective entitlement.
